Experienced Housekeeper

Our Island is looking for a Housekeeper to join our team

Our Island is a property management agency offering a curated selection of holiday homes and guesthouses across Waiheke Island.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced housekeeper to join our team on a long-term basis, working 30–40 hours per week (with a minimum of 30 hours guaranteed). You will be part of a small, supportive team, with a high level of autonomy in your day-to-day work.

This role requires flexibility to work around our housekeeping schedule, including weekends and public holidays as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a dedicated team, maintaining a consistently high standard of housekeeping that reflects the Our Island brand

  • Clean, prepare, and present properties to a high standard for guest arrivals

  • Complete deep cleans ahead of new tenancies or property onboarding

  • Ensure all guest amenities and supplies are replenished at each property

  • Coordinate and manage linen supplies, including loading vehicles and handling pickups/drop-offs

  • Report any damages or maintenance issues and liaise with the management team on a daily basis

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in professional cleaning or a similar role

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work

  • Ability to follow instructions and take initiative to complete tasks independently

  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

  • A positive, reliable attitude and commitment to long-term employment

Requirements

  • Must be based on Waiheke Island

  • Valid NZ work rights

  • Full driver’s licence
