Holiday Homes Manager

Our Island is looking for a Holiday Homes Manager to join our team!

Our Island is a dynamic and growing property management company specialising in long-term rentals, holiday home management, and property maintenance across beautiful Waiheke Island. We’re a small, dedicated team with a passion for quality, care, and local connection.

Location: Waiheke Island
Employment Type: Part Time (20 hours per week, with potential to increase)
Remuneration: Up to $39,520pa plus phone and mileage allowance

The Role:

We’re looking for a proactive, organised and hands-on Holiday Homes Manager to oversee the full holiday rental portfolio after onboarding. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety- one day you might be managing housekeepers, the next helping style a new home or handling a guest emergency.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our holiday homes meet Our Island’s high standards and our guests and owners feel taken care of. You’ll also step in for cleaning on quiet or peak days when needed.

As our business continues to grow, this role offers room to grow with us- in hours, responsibilities, and rewards. For the right person, there’s potential to expand your role over time and enjoy added benefits such as a company vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Housekeeping Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and oversee housekeeping staff, quality control, invoicing, and stock management.

  • Housekeeping Services: Conduct property checks, ensure cleaning standards, and assist with housekeeping during peak or quiet periods.

  • Onboarding Holiday Rentals: Coordinate photoshoots, inspections, and setup for new listings, ensuring homes are guest-ready and branded consistently.

  • Owner Relations: Act as the primary contact for owners, managing relationships, maintenance, performance, and property communications.

  • Booking & Guest Services: Oversee booking calendars, guest communication, issue resolution, and after-hours guest support as required.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in hospitality, property management, or similar.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and pride in presentation.

  • Strong organisational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks.

  • Comfortable with technology (booking platforms, spreadsheets, messaging tools).

  • Can work independently and is happy to be hands-on when required.

  • Local knowledge of Waiheke Island
